CHAPTER ONE - 3

(1) (2) (3)

Believing the Word of God causes you to not only see great power, but also experience greater power in your life. Believing will cause you to devote your life to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to bring to your attention this great power. What IS this great power?

How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the (Holy) Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by (the power of) the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38).

This great power is the Holy Spirit. The devil is a liar. He doesn’t have power over believers, because we are not his children. We belong to God! Why believe? Because the great power of the Holy Spirit is available to you. The reason the devil fights so hard to keep you from receiving the Holy Spirit is because the great power that defeated him, and will help you defeat him, IS the Holy Spirit. Every born-again believer should receive and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself told the disciples not to move until they received the Holy Spirit. Consider this: Mary, the mother of Jesus, was in that first group of onehundred- and-twenty people who received the Holy Spirit. Peter went from a weak brother to a mighty warrior after receiving the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Can you see why BELIEVE, BELIEVE, BELIEVE the devil has tricked the Body of Christ for so long, concerning the infilling of the Holy Spirit? A house divided has no power. Catch this, saints (the set apart ones): We have been fooled, but will be fooled no longer.

Why believe? Because great power awaits us to defeat the devil each and every day. Study! Why believe? To be set free by the Word of God. Why believe? So you will know that you are the called-out ones, which is the definition of the Church. We must know who we are in Christ Jesus.

Who are Christians? The official definition is believers in Jesus Christ, not unbelievers. To believe you must believe all the truth—not half or three-quarters, but ALL the truth. God is good, and all He does is good.

Why believe? Jesus is coming back soon for his Church—the called-out ones—and if you are in unbelief, you can’t go with Him. If you are in unbelief, you are an unbeliever in Jesus Christ. The Church, or calledout ones, are believers in Jesus Christ, the Body of Christ, Christians. Jesus is only returning for His Body.
Why believe? Only believers will return to Heaven with Jesus. Do you want the wrath of God to fall on you? Think about that question.

Believe what the Word of God says to you. God gave you a choice. Believing brings victory, power, promises, and transportation home to Heaven for the called-out ones. THAT IS WHY YOU SHOULD BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD. WHY BELIEVE?
